SY Learning: All training requests must be related to functions and roles and are granted under the responsibility of the direct supervisor and the line management.

Mandatory & recommended learning

”Personalised learning profiles” will allow persons from the LMS platform to get a list of their mandatory trainings to attend.

Training is offered to all SY members:

MPE = Employed Members of Personnel (STAF, FELL, GRAD)

MPA = Associated Members of Personnel (COAS, PJAS, USER, VISC, SASS, CASS, GPRO)

MPAt = Associated Members of Personnel for training (Doctoral, Summer, Administrative and Technical students; Trainees)

Language Training

The Supervisor defines the language needs and target level as needed by the Supervisees functions and roles	The Supervisee signs up for a Placement Test (applies to people who have not taken courses for the past 6 months)	The Supervisee signs up for the appropriate Language training based on the level on the LMS platform. In the EDH training request: attach the Placement Test result from the Language training provider mention targeted level defined by the Supervisor

If needed, a French integration course is mandatory for all newcomers at CERN, to facilitate integration in the local area.

A0 Integration (mandatory)

A1 Introductory – A2 Intermediate

B1 Mid – B2 Advanced

C1 Autonomous – C2 Master
